Kahoot

What is it?

Kahoot! is a global learning platform company that wants to empower students to unlock their full learning potential.
This learning platform makes it easy for any individual or corporation to create, share, and host learning sessions that drive compelling engagement. Kahoot! sessions can be hosted anywhere, in person or virtually, using any device with an internet connection.

Example of use

As a teacher I used Kahoot after each lesson to clarify the main concepts. Kahoot can be integrated into any curriculum to engage students. It can be used to create a pre- or post-assessment to assess student learning in real time. Students can use any name they like, so they won’t feel embarrassed giving wrong answers. The game-based feature makes learning engaging and fun.

UDL Principles

UDL Engagement

Clarify vocabulary and symbols. Vary the methods for response and navigation. Minimize threats and distractions.
Increase mastery-oriented feedback.

UDL Representation

I use it for representation ideas with the images and the test. So, it is easier to understand the questions for evaluation. Helps create a learning environment that is welcoming and inclusive for all students.

UDL Action Expression

Optimize access to tools and assistive technologies. Give students opportunities to interact with the content in different ways.
